Obituary of Ronald James Naples

NAPLES, Ronald of Saginaw, MI passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. He was 75 years old. Ronald Naples was born on September 13, 1938 in Saginaw to the late Anthony and Grace (Andrewjeski) Naples. Ron married Victoria R. Gayer on August 8, 1981 in Houghton Lake. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2006. Ron proudly served his country in Germany with the U.S. Army. Following his service, he was employed by General Motors for 32 years, retiring in 1992. Ron enjoyed spending time at Houghton Lake with his family, traveling and visiting the casino. He had many furry companions throughout his life including his dog, Ace. Ron will be deeply missed by his children: Kellie (Ed) Naples-Wegner, Lisa Naples, Nikki Ferguson, Ronald Naples, Todd Naples and Indai (Jason) Carter; step-daughter, Regina (Kurt) Hale; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Henry Beecher who raised him from a young boy; step-son, John Thompson; and two brothers, Patrick Naples and Thomas Birch. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Ron's memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service.
