Obituary of Charlotte M. Skelton

Charlotte "Tod" M. Skelton, 93, of Paradise, died Tuesday morning February 11, 2014 at Golden Leaves Living Center in Newberry. Born October 17, 1920 in Madison, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Lorin & Isma (Stromberg) Miller, Charlotte was a graduate of East Lansing High School. A resident of Paradise since July 1975, Charlotte was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Paradise where she served as an organist and treasurer for several years. In addition to being a homemaker, she also was employed as a teller at the former Bank of America in Paradise. Charlotte was a member of the Paradise Senior Citizens and enjoyed bowling and was an avid music lover. In addition to her parents, Charlotte is preceded in death by her son Ronald and siblings Josephine and James. Survivors include her husband Eugene of Paradise; daughter Carol Bowden of Grand Rapids; grandson Christopher Bowden of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 950 N. Center Ave. Rev. Robert Richards will officiate.
