NUTT, Marie age 58, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2014 after a long battle with kidney disease. Marie E. Mitchell was born on October 2, 1955. She was a loving wife and mother of three. Marie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1973 until her honorable discharge in 1974. She then worked for the United States Postal Service and retired in 1998. Marie was an avid reader who had an extensive library including Stephen King, her favorite author. She strove to pass this love of literature onto everybody in her life, especially her children. Marie greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her best friend Karen Willard, and her husband Robert Nutt, who preceded her in death. Marie had many wonderful pets over the years, but none as special as Maggie May. She traveled with Robert and Maggie May up to "The Palace", their cottage on Higgins Lake, to spend many summer weekends relaxing by the fire. Marie is survived by her three children: Brian Dishaw (Michelle), Jennifer Morris (Jeramie), and Joshua Nutt; three grandchildren: Parker, Tyler, and Emily; father, James Mitchell; two brothers: James (Laurie) Mitchell, Phillip (Barbara) Mitchell; sister, Kristen (Dane) Fuelling; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Mitchell and husband, Robert Nutt. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate.
