Our hearts go out to Marlene and her family for their loss. For years our walk here in Elk Rapids has been right past Ken and Marlene's house. Many times Ken would be in the yard when we walked by, and he always had time to stop and talk. I remember when their anniversary announcement was in our local Elk Rapids paper. I also remember the day he told us that they were going to move back to the Saginaw/Midland area. Such a nice man! My favorite memory of Ken was that whenever he spoke of Marlene, it was with so much love and respect.--- Frank and Joanne Rosengren

Dear Ken: You gave this piece of daily bread to me early last spring. On the flip side of it, I found this to say back to you and your family: Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints (Psalm 116:15). Here is what you underscored: I shake my head and wonder how that can be. I see things with earth bound eyes...I know from Psalm 139:16 that Melissa's arrival in God's heaven was expected. God was looking for her arrival; and it was precious in His eyes. Here is the postscript: Lord, when sorrow grips our hearts as we think about the death of one close to us, remind us of the joy You are experiencing as our loved one enjoys the pleasures of heaven. Please allow that to give us hope and comfort. Here is the Footnote: A sunset in one land is a sunrise in another. I will see you there some years later.

Ken you will be greatly missed. I will always remember you, as you played and sang the song where my name came from Korina Korina at the Saginaw Country Club.
Thank you for the beautiful memory. Curt will also miss you very much at his Iron Men's Bible Study Group on Thursday mornings.
I am sure you will be continuing your singing and rejoicing in heaven.
Much love to you and your family.

Dear family members, I grow up in the little town of La Porte where Ken came from. We knew the family very well. I'm so sorry for the lose of Ken. Ken was a great and wonderful man. Very friendly and a God fearing man. He was a friend and our families were close as I was growing up. I wish I could of been with the family, as I learned late ofKens passing so I could not be there to give my condolences. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you can find peace in knowing the Lord will be with Ken and with you during this time of sorrow. Rosalie Wade Polom and Robert Polom

What a huge loss for those of us who remain but oh what a gain for heaven! Loved Ken's tribute video. One of my favorite photos of Ken and Marlene along with my Mom and Dad standing up with them on their wedding day. I'll have to dig it out and post it.
A "Ken" funny story - Cheryl Losee and Salvo Finazzo's wedding reception. We were seated at round tables being served our dinner and the steak was pretty rare (for some of us anyway) and Ken said ya know what we have here?...a cow with the head and the ass cut off and it landed on our plate. Well it was really a moment of sheer joy and laughter! And we enjoyed every minute of that special dinner.
I will miss you dear cousin.

It's hard to come up with any one memory because I have so many with and about Uncle Ken. He was such a special man. This world will not be the same without him in it. I loved him so much and he will always hold a special place in my heart.

Very nice picture of Ken. It is the way we will always remember him; with a big warm and friendly smile. He was very well liked by our family and we have a lot of happy "music" memories. My mom (Martha) was sad to hear the news of his passing. He was a good friend of my dad's (Don Hingston) and sister (Sharon). I am certain they are all singing, "picking", and celebrating together in heaven.
Prayers and blessings from our family for comfort at this sad time.
Donna Geddes (Hingston)
