Obituary of Hilda E. Kerr

KERR, Hilda E. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Luther Manor Nursing Home. She was 95 years old. Hilda E. Laufer was born on May 25, 1918 to the late Florian and Martha (Jahnke) Laufer. She married Stanley J. Kerr on January 20, 1945. They were the first couple to be married at St. Vincent's Chapel. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1991. Hilda was a charter member of St. Helen Catholic Church. She retired from Montgomery Ward & Co. after many years of service. Surviving are three children: Stanley (Tracey) Kerr of Killeen, TX, Colleen (Ronald ) Paulson of Lynden, WA, and Lynette (Darwin) Baranski of Saginaw, MI; two daughters-in-law: Pam Kerr and Roni Kerr both of Saginaw; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband; three sons: Michael in 2000 and Larry and Timothy in 2009; one grandson, Anthony; three brothers; and one sister. FUNERAL: Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles St. Rev. Fr. Ronald F. Wagner will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
