Obituary of Rebecca A. Olsen

OLSEN, Rebecca A. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. She was 70 years old. Rebecca A. Olsen was born on Decmeber 29, 1942 to the late Rev. Earl and Catherine (Boruff) Olsen. She was a proud graduate of the University of Michigan, only seven credits away from receiving her Ph.D. (doctorate) in Chemistry. Over the years Rebecca has taught chemistry and math in Ann Arbor and at Heritage High School. Besides her education, her greatest accomplishment was caring for both of her parents, especially her mother for over a decade. Rebecca also attended various churches including: Our Saviour Lutheran, Grace Baptist, Hopevale and Immanuel Bible Church. Surviving is her sister, Claudia Howell of Saginaw. Also surviving are many near and dear friends. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Immanuel Bible Church, 5433 N. Center Rd. Pastor Matthew Beery will officiate. Private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
