KOSANOVICH, June H. of Saginaw, MI, formerly of Youngtown AZ, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Cartwright Hospice Residence. She was 84 years old. June H. Hayes was born July 8, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John S. and Julia E. (Brudzisz) Hayes. She was married to William Kosanovich on September 11, 1948. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2011. June had been employed with Sears as a credit manager for many years. After William retired in 1983, she and Bill moved to Youngtown, Arizona. They returned to Michigan, moving to Saginaw, in 1998. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. June was also a member of the Sears Retiree Group. She enjoyed spending time with her good friends and neighbors, Mary Wilken and Jim Nielsen, as well as with her beloved dog, Rosie. Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Carol Lakos; son, Dr. John (Barbara) Kosanovich; four grandchildren: Kevin (Krystal) Kosanovich, Renee (Mike) Benedict, Julia Kosanovich, Chris Tobin; brother, John (Sue) Hayes; sister- and brother-in-law, Norma (Mike) Krechowski and family; brother-in-law, Bill Berger and family; family friends, Doris Meatte and Jean Pappas; and several nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William and son-in-law, Jim Lakos. June's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Edgewood Assisted Living and the staff at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot Rd. Rev. Kathryn S. Snedeker will officiate. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with June's family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to First United Methodist Church and the Covenant HealthCare Foundation.
