Obituary of Jesse Rico

Rico, Jesse of Reese. Passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center Cooper, with his loving family by his side. He was 78 years old. Jesse was born on October 15, 1934 to the late Augstine and Conrada (Rodrigues) Rico. He married Marceline Luna on December 14, 1958 in Saginaw. She survives him. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. from 1954 to 1957. He was employed by General Motors working as a Skilled Trade until his retirement in 1991. He also enjoyed traveling, meeting once a month with his USMC friends. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his children Jesse Rico, Jr. and fiancé Dimaris of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Lisa (Tim) Trudeau of Vassar, Lynda Rico and fiancé Cesar of Akron, a sister Virginia Ortiz, a brother, George Rico, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving Jesse are many friends, especially George Arciniega, Ralph Guevara, Nick Enciso and Bob Gomez. Relatives who preceded him in death are his son, Richard A. Rico, two sisters Anita Selley, Josephine Escato and two brothers Joe and Val Rico. FUNERAL: Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 910 N. Sixth St. Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris, OFM Cap will officiate. MILITARY: Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Marine Corps and American Legion Post #439. VISITATION: Jesse will lie in state at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
