Dear John, I was as touched to get your online note as I was to see and talk with your sister, Joan, at the funeral home. As kids, we, too, recall many good times with your family at your place and ours. For some reason, I'll always remember our Mothers driving us to Tawas, I think, and because we were a bit unruly, they taught us to sing "Mares Eat Oats and Does Eat Oats" - to occupy our time in the car... do you or Kay remember that silly song? My two sons, one of my daughters-in-law and 3 of my grandkids drove with me to Clear Lake last Saturday where we shared some wonderful memories and enjoyed lunch at the Country Club in West Branch where my Dad loved to golf. Yes, I do believe my parents are together again - after 43 years. Thank you again for writing.

I met Hank while volunteering at Stone Crest. He was a great guy. I've had the pleasure of knowing him and helping him out during his stay there for a few months just recently. My memory of Hank was when he would say loudly while feeding him "I WANT TO GO OUTSIDE!" I sat outside a few times with Hank when it was nice out and enjoyed the short time I spent with him there. My condolences to Hank's family and to the staff and residents of Stone Crest, as I am sure they are missing Hank also.

Dear Vicky, I was very sorry to hear of your dad's passing from my sister. He, Ginny, and ther rest of your family will always be remembered by us as close friends and very gracious people. I still remember vividly my first hunting trip with your dad at West Branch. He treated me as one of the "guys" while I was only 16. Many memories come back from Clear Lake and Freeland. He is now resting peacefully and reunited with your mom. Please accept my condolences..

Dear Frost Family, I am writing this on behalf of my father, Art Karam. Dad wanted me to tell you how sorry he was to hear of Hank's passing. Dad is 95 and living at McBrite Manor here in Saginaw and doesn't venture out anymore. Dad and Mom enjoyed many good times with both Hank and Ginny for many years when they lived in Freeland and that friendship continued when they moved back to Saginaw. He will be praying for your family. Joan Karam Nichols

To Vicki, Val & Steve - sorry to hear about Uncle Hank's passing. We had visited him when we came to Freeland 3 years ago in the home. Of course, he didn't remember me.
How is everyone doing? My e-mail address in Spring Hill, FL is nmosson70@verizon.net
Let me know how you are doing.

Dear Vicki, Val and Steve: I was sorry to see that your Dad had passed away. I remember so many good times at your home in Freeland. It was always a highlight when my mom would say she was going to see Ginny, it meant that I got to come and play with Val. Your parents were always so welcoming and loving to everyone, it made me feel like part of your family. May God comfort all of your family during this difficult time. Sincerely,
Joan Karam Nichols
