Obituary of Lauro Trevino

TREVINO, Lauro III "Sonny", of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper with his family at his side. He was 60 years old. Lauro Trevino III was born on March 3, 1953 in Saginaw to the late Lauro II and Epimenia (Santoya) Trevino. He married Amalia "Molly" Olgine on June 26, 1971 and enjoyed 22 years of marriage. Sonny graduated from St. Joseph High School, Class of 1971. He was employed by Trevino and Sons Trucking for 33 years. After leaving the industry he began working for Diesel Truck Sales. Sonny enjoyed car racing and was part of the Warren Racing Pit crew for at least 10 years and an avid NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed golfing, riding motorcycles, working on cars especially his own vehicles. One of his greatest loves was spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Amalia "Molly" Trevino of Saginaw; three daughters and a son: Leticia C. (Manuel) Trevino-Garcia of Saginaw, Laura A. (Xavier) Trevino of Canton, Marisa A. (T.J.) Trevino-Skinner of Mound, MN and Lauro Trevino IV of Saginaw; seven grandchildren: Miranda, Christian, Elisa, Matthew, Xaniea, Elijah, and Sophia; a sister and two brothers: Yolanda (Peter) Olgine, Ruben Trevino and Raul (Juanita) Trevino. Also surviving are many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. Sixth Ave. Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Schabel will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Vigil Service led by Joe Trevino will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday Evening.
