Obituary of Jack Hudson Becker

BECKER, Jack Hudson went to his heavenly home, June 3, 2013. Born March 29, 1924, son of the late Hiram and Agnes Becker, married Gloria Garchow on May 6, 1945. Jack was president of LCFS by Michigan, he served on the National Ski Patrol, was president of the Bridgeport PTA, Peace PTL as well as serving as an usher and elder. Jack and Gloria enjoyed 47 years at Higgins Lake. He was a master carver. Jack worked at Baker Perkins for 35 years as a Design Engineer. He faithfully served as charter member of Faith Lutheran in Bridgeport and a member of Peace Lutheran of Saginaw. Jack was active in school and community service. He leaves his wife Gloria, three children: Gloria (Bruce) Rueber, David (Mary) Becker, Cynthia (Scott Lutz, Fiancé) VanZandt; sister, Jane (Harold) Wilber and sister-in-law, Beth Becker. Also 4 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. FUNERAL: A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Peace Lutheran Church 3427 Adams Street, Saginaw. Rev. Paul R. Hinz will officiate. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to call at the church on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, MEMORIALS: Those wishing an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Peace Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd.
