SCHMIDT, Joann of Saginaw, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at St. Mary's of Michigan. She was 81 years old. Joann Tuck was born December 5, 1931 in Saginaw to the late Henry James and Mary Martha (Phelps) Tuck. She married Delbert Schmidt on June 25, 1960 at Faith Lutheran Church in Saginaw. He predeceased her. Joann graduated from Arthur Hill High School. She was employed by Graber Company until they closed. Joann had a love for gardening, the taste of her fresh vegetables, and hunting with her late husband. Surviving is her daughter, Mary Martha (Allen Tillman) Schmidt; two grandchildren, Jason and Carrie Tillman; brother, Henry (Arlene) Tuck; two sisters, Shirley Craig and Donna Chinevere; brother-in-law, Richard Feldotte; and several nieces and nephews. Joann was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Schmidt and her sister, Mary Feldotte. FUNERAL: A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Forest Lawn Cemetery 3210 S. Washington, Saginaw. Pastor Michael Hahn will officiate. Per Joann's wishes, cremation has taken place. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4432 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48603.
