Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and dear friend passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on September 1, 2022. He was 94 years old. Jose Maria Arraut was born June 4, 1928 in Soledad, Atlantico, Columbia, S.A. to the late Jose M. and Mardonia V. (Niebles) Arraut. He was married to Betty Jean Walker, the love of his life, on December 8, 1950 in Harrison, Arkansas; she preceded him in death on March 19, 2013. Jose worked as a Medical Technologist for Covenant HealthCare for over 40 years. Jose married Amparo Arrieta in 2015, and she survives him. Above all, Jose cherished his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons and three daughters: Richard (Julie) Arraut, David (Allana) Arraut, Rose (Phillip) Arraut-Miller, Thomas (Gina) Arraut, Nancy Arraut and Maritza (Dwight) Perkins; surviving spouse of Raymond Arraut, Sherry Arraut; many grandchildren, several great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Raymond Arraut; grandson, James Arraut; great grandchildren, Shyane Arraut and Conner Hanback.

In keeping with Jose’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Together Jose’s family will celebrate his life privately.
