Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and dear friend passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 27, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was 85 years old. Duane Arthur Ebach was born on May 6, 1937 in Saginaw to the late Jerome N. and Lucille (Rosien) Ebach. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1955. He married Janet Reinke in 1958 and together they had two children: Victoria and Duane Jr. Duane proudly served his country with the United State Navy, and following his honorable discharge Duane returned to Saginaw to raise his family. Duane worked for General Motors in Plant #2, #6 and #3, for over 25 years. He married Susan L. (Karlsen) Scully on June 30, 1989, and she brought to their family her children: Carrie, Jason, and Jarred. Together Duane and Susan had their daughter, Nichole. Duane was a faithful Detroit Lions Fan, enjoying many games with family and friends. He loved crossword puzzles. Duane was a member of the Carrollton Eagles Club #4413 and a former member of the Pulaski Club. He spent many summers at Burt Lake fishing, making memories with family and friends and enjoying a cold Budweiser.

Duane will be deeply missed by his wife, Susan, who together they enjoyed over 32 years together; children: Victoria (Paul) Louks, Duane Jr. (Brenda) Ebach, Carrie (T.J.) Coleman, Jason (Nichole) Scully, Jarred (Killie Kozma) Scully and Nichole (Gary) Hotle; grandchildren: Michael Louks, Rachel (fiancé, Chad Peeples) Louks, Benjamin (Haley) Ebach, Katherine (Chris) Stearns, Bradley (Brandi) Ebach, Peyton Scully, McKenzie Johnson and Elijah Hotle; seven great grandchildren; many extended family and dear friends.    

SERVICE: In keeping with Duane’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Kirk Abatelli will officiate. Military honors under the auspices of the United States Navy and American Legion Post #22 will follow the service.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
