Obituary of Robert O. Danielson

DANIELSON, Robert O. of Saginaw, Michigan, Beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. He was 85 years old. Robert O. Danielson was born on August 22, 1928 in Manannah, Minnesota to the late Oscar Nils and Mildred Pearl (Bauch) Danielson. He married Dorothy Ann Bauer, she preceded him in death on January 11, 2013; and Marion G. Reynolds who preceded him in death on July 29, 1999. Robert graduated from Litchfield High School and attended Oregon State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean War Conflict. He was employed by Saginaw Grey Iron Foundry as a machinist, retiring after 37 years of service. He enjoyed playing basketball when he was younger, and in his later years, riding his motorcycle, raising birds, and smoking cigars. Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Desrosiers of Saginaw; two sons: Mark Danielson of St. Charles and Steven Danielson of Saginaw; four grandchildren: Shawna Desrosiers of Atlanta GA, Marissa Desrosiers of Hemlock, Kasey (John) Halter of Howell, and Kelly Danielson of Saginaw; and two great-grandchildren: Caiden and Lucas Danielson. Also surviving is a loving younger sister, Lois McCandless of Hutchinson, MN. Two brothers, Donald (Charlie) and Burton Danielson have also preceded him in death.
