Obituary of Lydia M. Garcia

Lydia Mejia Garcia, age 67, of Saginaw, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Covenant Healthcare Hospital, in Saginaw, Michigan.

She was born on June 28, 1958, to Francisco and Estella Mejia in Saginaw, Michigan.

Lydia married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Garcia on August 26, 1974, and they spent 40 years together until his death in 2014.  She cherished spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers in her yard including a special rose bush.

Lydia is survived by her three beloved children, Joe (Jessica) Garcia, Salina (Carl Roberts) Garcia and Cynthia Garcia; loving grandchildren, Sabrina (Aaron) Miller, Olivia Garcia, Jordan (Abby) Roberts, and Dylan Garcia; adored great grandchildren, Cecelia, Aria, Levi, Isabelle, Elliana, Jordan, and Mac; her mother, Estella (the late, Wayne) Nalevayko; siblings, Mike (Mila) Mejia, Frank (Donna) Mejia, Nanny (Victor) Perez, and Ray (Trish) Mejia; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Garcia; and their grandson, Carl Garcia Roberts and her father, Francisco Mejia.

Cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.
