Obituary of Guadalupe J. Reyes

Loving brother, uncle, and friend was called home to be with his parents on Monday evening, February 16, 2026, at his residence in Saginaw. He was 71 years old.

Guadalupe Jessie Reyes was born on March 12, 1954, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Angel and Alejandra (Gomez) Reyes. He spent most of his career working as a cook, dedicating many years of service to the restaurant industry.

Guadalupe had a true love for life. He enjoyed dancing and listening to music, and he was especially happy when he was in the kitchen preparing meals for others. He also enjoyed attending sporting events and was a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Above all, Guadalupe treasured the time he spent with his family. Being surrounded by those he loved brought him his greatest joy.

Surviving is his sister, Patsy Nevarez; nieces and nephews, Jason (Heather) Nevarez, David (Sevia) Reyes, Crystal Reyes, Landen Nevarez, Malia Navarez, Kolten Nevarez, Maverick Ferguson, Aubriella Reyes, Arienna Reyes, Autumn Ferguson, Alani Reyes, and Karina Reyes; and a dear friend, James DeFore.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by his parents, Angel and Alejandra Reyes; and his brother, David (Jane) Reyes.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February, 20, 2026 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road, Saginaw, MI.
