Obituary of Paul M. Webb

Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Paul M. Webb, 94, passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Salisbury, North Carolina on October 17, 1931, and was the beloved son of the late Charles Lee and Rose (Honbarger) Webb.

A devoted family man, Paul was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle.

Nothing was more important to Paul than his faith in God, and that carried him through all of life's storms. He loved singing the old hymns in his beautiful bass voice, and he kept singing until just days before God called him home.

Paul served his country with honor as a Corporal in the United States Army from October 20, 1952 to October 19, 1954. His time in the service was marked by dedication and responsibility, reflecting the strong values instilled in him throughout his life.

On August 21, 1954 he married the love of his life and best friend, June Eling, spending 71 wonderful and memorable years together.

Paul worked as a Biological Technician for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for 30 years. After retirement, he worked for the Soo Locks Boat Tours as narrator and linesman, and then served others by delivering Meals on Wheels in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brothers: Charles and Thomas; sisters: Alma and Anne. Paul is survived by his loving wife, June; son Steven (Rebecca) Webb; daughters: Jean (Hugh) Betz and Amy (Joseph) Bleicher; grandchildren: Zachary (Caryn) Bleicher, Nicholas Bleicher, Madeline Webb, Kiah (Tony) Green, and Lydia (Jacob) Harris; and his many nieces and nephews. Paul’s legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched over the years.

In keeping with Paul’s wishes, he will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan, with military honors under the auspices of the United States Army. Please share your thoughts with the family through www.deislerfuneralhome.com

The family wants to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Heartland Hospice for all they did for Paul. The family asks that any memorial donations be made to Heartland Hospice, 1320 Waldo Ave., Suite 300, Midland, Michigan, 48642. In lieu of a service, please honor Paul’s memory and take a moment to do something kind for someone, just as Paul would have done.
