Obituary of Mabel Pearl Finkbeiner

Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at HealthSource Saginaw. She was 92 years old. Mabel Pearl Steffen was born on July 25, 1933 to Max and Myrtle (Price) Steffen. She married Ronald L. Finkbeiner in 1955. They celebrated many wonderful years together before his passing on July 1, 2023. Mabel worked as a Nurse’s Aide for St. Francis Nursing Home for many years. She loved to spend time with her family, working in her flower gardens and was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for many years.

Mabel is survived by her children, Kathryn (Ed Goodwin) Finkbeiner and Doug Finkbeiner; daughter in-law, Penny Finkbeiner; her dear grandchildren, Ron (Kara) Finkbeiner, Stephanie (Josh) Ackerman, and Brian Finkbeiner; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janet Wells; and many nieces and nephews.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; her son, Craig Finkbeiner; grandson, Cory Finkbeiner; nine siblings; and three siblings-in-law.

In keeping with Mabel’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time.
