Marian Patricia “Pat” (Boensch) Plowdrey

March 17, 1928 – October 13, 2025

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Marian Patricia “Pat” Plowdrey passed away peacefully on Monday morning, October 13, 2025, at Charter Assisted Living in Hampton Township. She was 97 years old.

Marian was born on March 17, 1928, in Indiantown, Michigan, to Carl and Agatha (Berghoff) Boensch. She attended Indiantown Grade School and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School. On February 13, 1954, she married the love of her life, Donald Plowdrey, and together they made their home in Kochville.

A woman of deep faith, Pat was a devoted member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Zilwaukee and later St. Josaphat Catholic Church in Carrollton. She found joy in gardening, especially tending to her beautiful flowers, baking, and crafting hundreds of rosaries for Saint Paul Street Evangelization, an organization that distributes rosaries throughout the world. She loved helping others and cherished time spent watching “romantic musical comedies” with her family while enjoying ice cream and chocolate chip cookies.

Above all, Pat treasured her family. She lovingly cared for her family members, and her grandchildren fondly remember learning to make her wonderful homemade desserts, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and coffee cake. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, prayer, and devotion to the Rosary. Pat will be remembered as a loving, caring, and generous woman who always greeted others with a warm smile and a kind heart.

She is survived by her children, Marilyn Plowdrey, John (Margaret) Plowdrey, James (Judy) Plowdrey, Diane (John) Faller, Robert Plowdrey, Daniel (Diane) Plowdrey, and Mike (Lynette) Plowdrey; grandchildren, Alaina (Craig) Forehand, Grant (Morgan Nicole) Plowdrey, Stephen Plowdrey, Bryan (fiancée Rachel Baird) Plowdrey, Andrew Plowdrey, Justin (Ruby) Plowdrey, Haleigh (Jason) Verbowski, Paige (Dave) Abraham, and Blake (Alyson) Plowdrey; great-grandchildren, Parker Plowdrey, Kallin Plowdrey, Olivia Verbowski, Valarie Verbowski, and Claire Plowdrey; sister-in-law, Carol Boensch; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Agatha Boensch; her beloved husband, Donald Plowdrey; and her siblings, Agatha Boensch, Francis (Lucille) Boensch, Carl Boensch, Bernard (Helen) Boensch, Raymond (Dolores) Boensch, and Leonard Boensch.

Pat’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Charter Assisted Living team, Hospice nurses Nicole and Nancy, Hospice aide Jasmine (“Dimples”), and dear friends Larry, Judy, Cindy, and Connie for their wonderful and compassionate care during Pat’s time of need.
