Obituary of Garry Alan Klopf

Sanford, Michigan formerly of Saginaw

Garry Alan Klopf, age 78, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

The only child of Herman and Betty (Lennox) Klopf, Garry was born on December 30, 1946 in Saginaw, Michigan.

Garry attended Arthur Hill High School, graduating with the class of 1965. He married Deborah Morford and together they built a family, welcoming nine children. From early adulthood, Garry worked alongside his father at Klopf Floor Covering, learning the ins and outs of the trade with dedication and pride. Eventually, he inherited the business, continuing its legacy while earning respect and lasting friendships within the Tri-City community.

A true outdoors enthusiast, Garry found joy and solace in nature – hunting and fishing were lifelong passions. Many cherished memories were made in the woods and on the water, where Garry shared stories, adventures, and skills with his family.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Garry served in a variety of callings, including as Bishop, High Council member, and Ward Mission Leader. He also enjoyed serving in the Boy Scouts of America.

Garry will be remembered for his strength, integrity, adoration for his wife, and unconditional love for his family.

Garry is survived by his wife, Deborah; his children: Virginia (Lorin) Bradley, Valorie (David) Moeller, Garry (Andrea) Klopf, Natalie (John) Hill, Jennifer (Ben) Sexton, Amanda Klopf, Kyle Klopf, and Matthew Klopf; 27 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many extended family and dear friends.

Garry was preceded in death by his son, Nickolas Alan Klopf.

The family would like to thank the staff at Woodland Hospice House and all those who helped in so many ways.

Memorial Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Service held at 5:30 p.m. at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603.
