Obituary of Jesus Inacio Barajas
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and dear friend passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, surrounded by his family and friends. Jesse recently accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior with whom he now resides. He was 66 years old. Jesus Inacio Barajas was born on January 21, 1959 in Saginaw to Jose F. Sr. and Jesusita (Meza) Barajas. Jesse met Diana L. “Dina” Murillo, the love of his life, through family and they fell in love and were married on October 2, 1999 in Saginaw.
Jesse was a dedicated head bus mechanic, bus driver and custodian for the Buena Vista School District for 25 years. More recently, he enjoyed working for the Wash Boys. A true car enthusiast, especially when it came to Mopars, Jesse found joy in both driving and fixing cars. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His passion led him to open Saginaw Performance and Sales, affectionately known as “The Shop,” which he operated for over 10 years. Jesse also had a deep love for the open road, riding his Harley Davidson with family and friends, participating in benefit rides, bike runs, and attending car shows. A proud member of the Carrollton/Zilwaukee Eagles #4413 and the Kosciuszko Club. Jesse was known for his generous spirit, love of grilling and cooking for those he cared about, and making memories up north. He was a loyal University of Michigan fan and brought energy and joy to everything he did.
Jesse’s greatest joy was his family and spending time with them, he will be forever remembered by his wife, Diana “Dina” Barajas; his sons, Maurice (Elise) Murillo and Jesus I. Barajas Jr.; grandchildren: Haylea, Eliana and Ariana; siblings: Margarita B. Grierson, Gloria K. Barajas, Jose D. Barajas Jr., Manny Barajas and Arturo Barajas; mother-in-law, Maria Faith; siblings-in-law: Marge Marin, Carmen Murillo and Den Murillo; his beloved fur baby, Leo; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends that are as close as family, but too numerous to name.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Jose F. Sr. and Jesusita (Meza) Barajas; brothers-in-law: William “Fireman Bill” Grierson, Clarence Gutman; sister-in-law, Susan Barajas and dear friend, Lonnie Faith.
Jesse’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, Floor 8C; and his nurse, Jessica, from Harmony Cares Hospice for the care, compassion and empathy given during Jesse’s treatment. Also, Jenny and the staff of Deisler Funeral Home for the kindness shared with the Barajas family.
Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State) on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Jesse at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral will follow the visitation time. Pastor Jay Roussel will officiate.
