Evangelina Borrego Garcia passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday August 17, 2025. She was Born on November 01, 1943 to the late Antonio and Victoria Borrego in Mission, TX. She married Juan Garcia Sr in November 1967 and soon after moved to Saginaw, MI and started their legacy. Together they raised a large and loving family. She is remembered with deep affection by her husband Juan Garcia Sr and children Joaquin (Olga) Garcia Sr, Norberto Garcia Sr, Juan (Jina) Garcia Jr, Julia (Lee) Perez Jr, Victoria Garcia, Efrain Garcia Sr, and Irma Garcia who took special loving care of her and stayed at her side. Also survived by sisters Carmen Borrego Morin and Anna (Raul) Segundo. She was a devoted stay-at- home wife and mother who always put her family first. She took great pride in working during summer months where she worked hard. These were not just times of labor but opportunities for teaching- moments when she created unforgettable memories working side by side with her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends providing a strong work ethic. Her strong will and loving nature left an undeniable mark on those around her. Eva enjoyed going to the bingo, casino and listening to mexican music. Enjoyed trips to Texas to visit family. She also enjoyed having all her kids together cooking their favorite meals. She found joy in simple pleasures- spending time outdoors working in her yard and tending to her flowers. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond the home as she cared deeply for each person who entered her life. She was known as "Wella" to her Grandchildren: Robert Rodriguez, Vanessa Rosas, Antonio Garcia, Bianca Garcia, Danielle (Michael) Ramirez Sr, Joaquin Garcia Jr, Norberto Garcia Jr, Emilio Garcia (Mercedes), Sabrina Garcia, Valentin Garcia (Vanquesha), Francisco Garcia, Severiano Perez, Diamond Garcia, Leesandro Perez, Efrain Garcia Jr, Lia Perez, Lee Perez III and Lianna Perez . 17 great grandkids and 3 on the way. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Maribel Cranfill, grandson Joshua M Garcia, parents, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Visitation will take place from 4:00p.m. until 7p.m., Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road, Saginaw, MI 48603, with a vigil service at 6:00p.m., conducted by Deacon Bob. 

Visitation will continue from 10:00a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00a.m., Monday, August 25, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 N. 6th Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601.

Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw, MI.
