Obituary of Mary Ellen O'Curran

Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend passed away peacefully on her 88th birthday, Saturday, July 12, 2025. Mary Ellen Rossome was born on July 12, 1937 in Saginaw to Louis E. and Mary A. (Silvia) Rossome. Mary graduated from Saginaw High School in 1955. She had a successful career as an Executive Secretary with Wick’s Lumber and then Dow Chemical for the Chief Legal Counsel.

She is survived by her sister, Diane (Rich) Holly; her children: Brian (Patti) O’Curran and Sean O’Curran; four grandchildren and their spouses: Jennifer (Peter) Brown, Marissa (David) Fetherman, Olivia (Patrick) McCallister and Liam (Avery) O’Curran; eight great-grandchildren:  Aiden and Brody Brown, Dawson, Daxon, Declan and Mayla Fetherman; Alex McCallister and Thea O’Curran.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Rossome; her brother, Louis Rossome; and her daughter-in-law, Anita O’Curran.

Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603 on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish – St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 North Charles Street, Saginaw, MI  48602, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Fr. Thai H. Nguyen will officiate with entombment to follow at Oakwood Mausoleum.
