Obituary of Charles W. Plambeck

Charles William Plambeck, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully at his home in Saginaw on Wednesday morning, July 2, 2025, with his family by his side. He was 94 years old. Born on November 10, 1930, in Bay City, Michigan, Charles was the son of William and Earnadeen (Allen) Plambeck. On April 21, 1956, he married Jeanine R. Mallory, at State Street United Methodist Church in Saginaw. Together, they celebrated 69 years of marriage. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years. Following his service, he dedicated over 45 years to General Motors as a skilled Pattern Maker, retiring in 1996.

Charles had many passions. He was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed crafting his own spinners and flies. He also found joy in bowling, golfing, and woodworking, his creativity and craftsmanship brought beauty to countless projects over the years. In retirement, Charles treasured his daily visits to the coffee shop with friends, but his greatest joy was always found in time spent with family and loved ones.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jeanine; his five children: David (Lynne) Plambeck, Michael (Mitzy) Plambeck, Brian (Koelotte) Plambeck, Joyce Weathers, and Ellen (John) Skahan; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; his brother, Roger Plambeck; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, William and Earnadeen Plambeck; his brother, James Plambeck; and his sister, Prudy Hogrefe.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, July 7, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road, Saginaw, MI 48603. Pastor Larry Kirkpatrick will officiate. A committal service will immediately follow the service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw.  Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Navy and American Legion Post # 439.
