Our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and dear friends passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper. She was 75 years old. Kathryn Lynne Kerns was born on April 20, 1950 in Saginaw, MI to Robert Charles and Kathryn Margaret (Provo) Kerns. She graduated from Douglas McArthur High school. Kathy married Bruce E. Schuster on August 15, 1997, and he survived her.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Bruce; son, John L. Northrup III; brother, Charles (Carolyn) Kerns; sister, Cynthia Hanley; step children: Nicholas (Nicole) Schuster, Zachary Schuster (Jennifer Meihls); step grandchildren: Isabelle Schuster, Nina Schuster, Camden Schuster and Braxten Schuster.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Kathryn Kerns.

In keeping with Kathy’s wishes, private burial will take place.
