Posen, Michigan – Formerly of Saginaw

Christina Marie Schramke Lauzon, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away at her home in Posen, Michigan on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. She was 58 years old.

Born on April 1, 1966, in Flint, Michigan, Christina was the daughter of Jan and Kathleen (Bernath) Schramke. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in Saginaw in 1983 and went on to build a fulfilling career as an event planner, decorator and caterer, roles that reflected her deep love for bringing people together and creating memorable experiences.

On September 20, 1990, Christina married William Lauzon, in Tawas, Michigan. Together, they shared 33 years.

Christina was a woman of the Catholic faith whose warm heart and joyful spirit touched everyone she met. She had a passion for cooking and found joy in preparing meals for those she loved. She was an animal lover who cherished her “fur babies,” and she always found comfort and happiness in the music of Bob Seger. Above all, Christina treasured time spent with family and friends. She loved to entertain, and her bubbly, fun-loving personality made everyone feel welcome.

She is survived by her husband, William Lauzon; her son, Robert Schramke; her mother, Kathleen Tomlin; her special niece, Jesseca (Curtis) McLeod, and great-niece, Nora McLeod; as well as her bonus sisters, Kimberly Heath, Sheila Riley, and Bobbie Jo Stierheim and bonus son Eric Hardin.

Christina was preceded in death by her father, Jan Schramke; her sister, Katerina Schramke; and her stepfather, Robert Tomlin.

Her kindness, creativity, light, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Cremation has taken place; Christina’s cremated remains will be laid to rest at a later date at Saint Casimir Catholic Cemetery, 7275-7001 N. Grand Lake Hwy., Posen, MI 49776.
