Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was 89 years old.
Arlene Ann Roeglin was born on June 6, 1935 in Taymouth Township, Michigan to Charles and Barbara (Lindauer) Roeglin. She met the love of her life on a blind date when Robert “Bob” J. Lee served in the United States Army, 101st Airborne. They were married on August 7, 1954 at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Zilwaukee. Together they celebrated 67 years of marriage. Bob preceded her in death on April 3, 2022.
She loved going to the casino, playing bingo, taking family trips to Higgins Lake, playing cards and was in a card club playing Rum. Arlene loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed preparing meals and baking for those she loved.
Arlene is survived by her children: Jean Lee, Debra Lee, Sandy (Brian) Dunham, Bob (Nan) Lee and Susan Lee; grandchildren: Shawn (Amanda) Dunham, Kelly Dunham, Amber Lee, Brook Lee, Austin Lee and Tara Lee; great grandchildren, Sophie and Archer Dunham; brother-in-law, William “Bill” Lee; sisters-in-law: Sharon (Don) Seaver and Carol Kietzman; Arlene’s longtime friends, Donna and Dewey Rethman; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Arlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara M. “Barb” Lee; her parents: Charles and Barbara Roeglin; brothers: Wayne (Lauraine) Roeglin, Carl (Lois) Roeglin, Richard Roeglin; sisters: Marge (Harvie) Schneider, Ruth (Doc) Wellman, Helen (Elmer) Koboldt; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Marie J. (Thomas) and Raymond James Lee; sisters-in-law: Rosemary (Chip) Zumer, Patricia “Pat” (Jerry) Martin and an infant sister-in-law, Annabelle Lee; her brothers-in-law: Raymond “Ray” Lee Jr. and Bob Kietzman.
SERVICE: According to Arlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A prayer service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate.
VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
