Alice Marie Medrano of Saginaw, Michigan

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, Tia (Aunt) and dear friend went home to be with her Lord peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Covenant HealthCare while surrounded by her family. She was 71 years old. Alice Marie Medrano (Gutierrez) was born on August 7, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan to Frank Gutierrez and Lucy Campos along with Juan Campos. Alice was a graduate of Carrollton High School. She loved to care for those around her, which led her to a career as a Nurse’s Aide. Alice also loved making relationships while she worked at some local Saginaw restaurants. Alice will be remembered for her fierce presence, her strength and her resilience, but most of all for the unconditional love that she had for her family. Alice had a way of making each and every family member feel like they were her favorite. She adored her boys and her many grandchildren. She loved her Family more than there were stars in the sky. The most important thing to her was spending her time making memories with Family, especially her Grandchildren. She also loved worshipping Her Lord and Savior at Saginaw House of Prayer. She continuously and endlessly kept her Family and friends lifted in prayer. She also loved to bake, cook, dance, take pictures and collecting her precious gems to keep safe in her China cabinet. She also collected giraffes and loved to listen to Mexican music, especially Ramon Ayala.

Alice leaves behind a legacy of four sons: Angelo Gutierrez, Salvador Gutierrez, Jesse Villareal and Johnny Villareal; grandchildren: Angelo V., Gina, Mike, Sean, Julian, Salvador II, Angel, Christian “Precious”, Aaliyah, Gia, Legend, Jasmine, Johnny Jr., Jordan, Jaxon and Carson; great grandchildren: Elliza, Vincent “Blueberry”, Isla, Salvador III and Christian Jr.; siblings: Richard Hernandez, Elvia Gutierrez, Lydia Campos, Joyce Dias, Carlos Campos and Carla (Juan) Pina; special friends: Irene Armendarez, Patty Torres and Kelly; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; Frank Gutierrez, Lucy Campos and Juan Campos; her husband, Faustino “Frankie” Medrano; sister, Betty Gutierrez; brothers: Franco Gutierrez Jr. and Juan Campos; special sister-in-law, Martha Ortiz; and her former husband, Terry Villareal.
