Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Saginaw. He was 92 years old. Peter was born on July 3, 1929 in Indiantown to the late John and Elizabeth (Schulz) Felsing. He married Dianne Lee Walderzak on January 19, 1951 in Saginaw. She preceded him in death on November 25, 2019. Peter proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War while being stationed in Alaska. He was employed by Consumers Energy as a Lineman, retiring after 34 years of service. Peter was a faithful and active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Saginaw for many years.
He loved spending time in his yard trimming his shrubs, maintaining his garden and sitting on the front porch. Peter also enjoyed travelling all over the United States and Europe. But, what he really loved most was spending time with his family.
Surviving are his children, Steven Felsing (his dear friend, Roxanne), Karen Jurek and Cathy Felsing; grandchildren, Brent (Melissa) Felsing, Reid (Sarah) Felsing and Jamie (Jason) Atkinson; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Anderson, Luke, Maxwell, Theo and Victor.
Peter was preceded in death by his six siblings.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Julius Buelow will officiate.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Saginaw.
