REARDON, Dorothy Lee of Saginaw, Michigan, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Friday, February 4, 2011 at Hoyt Nursing Rehab Centre. Age 80 years. Dorothy L. was born September 20, 1930 to the late Hugh and Adah (Brightman) Lee. She was married to John J. Reardon on August 30, 1952 at St. Mary's Cathedral in Saginaw. Dorothy was employed as a nurse until co-founding the Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre with her husband in 1963 and later developed Heritage Nursing Home in Saginaw and Hampton Nursing Home in Bay City. Dorothy was a pioneer in Michigan's long-term care profession. A fellow in the American College of Nursing Home Administrators and former secretary/treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Health Care Association of Michigan. Left to cherish her memory are five children: Kimberly S. Reardon of Peoria, Arizona, Jon R. (Sharon Mott) Reardon, Lee J. Reardon of Bay City, Jil A. Reardon of Las Vegas Nevada and Jay P. Reardon of San Francisco California. Six Grandchildren: Ryan (Becky), Kassie and Reid Johnson, Erin, John and Matthew Reardon; two sisters-in-law: Josephine Lee and Patricia Essex; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Adah Lee; one brother, Charles Lee; and two sisters: Mary Lee and Marian Lee Massman. Dorothy's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Center for the exceptional kindness and care they provided. Also a special thanks to her life long friend, Jean Brady. FUNERAL - Dorothy's Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 5376 State St. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION - Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State) on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
