GRAY, Luella Vivian, of Saginaw passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence surrounded by her family. She was 88 years old. Luella V. Clay was born on February 14, 1923 in Saginaw to the late Fredrick Clay and Elizabeth (Dumont) Clay. She was married to her best friend, Richard I. Gray for 55 years; he preceded her in death on October 27, 1999. Together they raised three sons who blessed them with three daughters-in-law: Richard and Wanda Gray of Hamilton, OH, Timothy and Cheryl Gray of Saginaw, Neil and Kathy Gray of Middletown, OH; seven grandchildren: Major Barbara I. and Dewey Haines of Puyallup, WA, Jaqueline E. Gray D.V.M. of Los Angeles, CA, Michael P. Gray, Kari M. and Randy Keith all of Saginaw, Gretchen M. and Ryan Heenan of Pawleys Island, SC, Nicholas S. and Angela Gray and Douglas A. Gray all of Middletown, OH; seven great grandchildren: Jacob A. Gray of Saginaw, Shelby N. Gray and Robert I. Gray of Puyallup, WA, Libby and Jayce Heenan of Pawleys Island, SC, Elliott and Alex Keith of Saginaw. Luella's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Cartwright Hospice Residence and the nurses, staff and management of Covenant HealthCare-Harrison. FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy to celebrate Luella's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn. Rev. Fr. James G. Heller will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, August 22, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Luella will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
